How to use cbd drops?

Since CBD has purportedly had many health benefits in recent years, it has become popular. CBD is commonly taken through tinctures or drops placed under the tongue.

Shake the bottle

CBD oil contains CBD along with other carrier oils and ingredients. Over time, the contents settle and separate. It’s important to properly mix the oil before taking your dose, so the first step is 30 seconds of vigorous shaking. It helps ensure the concentration of CBD distributes evenly throughout the solution. Shaking also helps activate the ingredients to increase effectiveness. Be sure the dropper cap tightens before shaking to avoid spills. Once mixed, the oil should look homogenous.

Fill the dropper

Unscrew the dropper cap and squeeze the rubber bulb to draw oil into the tube after shaking the bottle. Dosing will be easier if the dropper is filled halfway. Then dip the dropper back into the bottle and fill the remainder. It gets an accurate serving size and minimize waste or spills. The dropper will likely have markings along the side indicating the serving size, usually 0.5mL, 1mL, etc. Observe this marking to determine how much CBD you will consume.

Place under tongue

With the dropper filled at your desired dosage, squeeze the rubber bulb to release the best cbd oil under your tongue. Don’t let the dropper touch your tongue to keep the serving hygienic. You’ll want to hold the oil there for 60-90 seconds before swallowing to allow for sublingual absorption. During this time, the CBD will enter the bloodstream through the thin membranes under the tongue rather than going through the digestive system. Sublingual CBD drops provide faster, more efficient results than ingesting the oil. Keeping the CBD under the tongue allows more of it to reach your endocannabinoid system. You swallow any remaining oil after holding it sublingually for a minute or two.

Record effects

It takes time for full effects to set in. Take notes on your experience including any changes in mood, pain levels, anxiety, sleep, etc. You also monitor benefits over several days of consistent use. Everyone reacts differently to CBD, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t notice anything right away. It often takes experimenting with the dose to find your optimal serving size. Give it some time, adjust the amount if needed, and document the effects so you zero in on what works for you.

Store properly

After each use, close the dropper cap and bottle securely. Keep the CBD oil stored upright at room temperature away from direct heat, light, and moisture to preserve freshness and prevent leakage. CBD drops degrade due to exposure to air and light. Keeping the bottle in a cool, dark place like a pantry or medicine cabinet will provide best results over time. Never leave CBD oil in your car on hot days. Refrigerating is not necessary and could cause the oil to get too thick. Properly stored CBD drops maintain their quality and effectiveness for months. Follow the product instructions for exact shelf life and storage guidance.
