  • Voyage insurance

You must make sure that your boat shipping company offers total voyage insurance that can adequately protect your boat if anything by chance goes wrong during the shipping.

  • Inform the shipping company of the dimensions of your boat

You must also inform your shipping company about the dimensional aspects of your boat well in advance so that they can decide which type of transport they should arrange for your boat.

  • Inspect the boat

Before your boat transport company arrives to collect your vessel, you must inspect it thoroughly for damages. You must take photos, and note down any existing damage. Take pictures of the boat from different angles.

  • Remove all your personal belongings and other prohibited items

You must remove all the following items from your boat and keep them in a safe place.
